Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, Exhibit Enterprises finds itself at home around the world. Whether producing major motorshow stands in Detroit, Paris or Tokyo, managing Technology Review tours in London, Sao Paulo or Indianapolis, or designing and providing overall management of Customer Centers in Singapore, Exhibit Enterprises has delivered award-winning marketing experiences for its clientele.

Headquartered in Dearborn, Mich., EEI is one of the largest exhibit builders and event marketing companies in the country. Housed in an 180,000 square foot facility, EEI specializes in the design, engineering and production of custom-made exhibits, global event management, technology reviews, permanent installations, engine cut aways and interactive animated displays. It is the only event marketing company in Michigan that is ISO 9001 certified.

When EEI called on Waxedfruit to redesign their web site, we knew we had a challenge on our hands. EEI wanted the new site to capture the essence and quality of their unique approach to the work they produce. To match that was an exciting challenge for us to undertake.

Working closely with the EEI team, we came up with a few initial concepts for look and feel. From there, EEI chose one and requested a few changes. This process went on until the right style was established.

Once in development, things went fairly smoothly with the occassional snag now and then. We quickly realized technical issues which had to be addressed in the first update to the site. This included recoding the framesets to stablize the submenus within the site.

EEI also wanted to be able to update the news section of the web site. To allow this to happen, we built a custom news application for them. Current news items are displayed on the home page while a full index of all stories resides in the actual News section. Updates to the News section can be made by an EEI employee, simply by filling out a form in their web browser.

The largest section of the site is the EEI portfolio. They've got a large body of work so we initially planned to create a system similiar to the News application for handling portfolio pieces. In the end, EEI decided to adopt the same attention to detail found in their work by laying out each portfolio piece's page individually.

Launched earlier this year, EEI continues to plan exciting updates for their web site. Stay tuned!
